Scope of Policy
This privacy policy (Policy) together with our Terms of Use and any additional terms of use applies to your use of:
- Order Mee mobile application software (App) available on our website OR hosted on the Google Play Store or Apple Play Store (App Site), once you have downloaded or streamed a copy of the App onto your mobile telephone or handheld device (Device).
- Any of the services accessible through our website, the App (Services) or those available on the App Site or other sites of ours or other third-party Sites (Service Sites).
This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. It is in compliance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, Nigerian Data Protection Act 2023 (the "Act"), and Nigeria Data Protection Act General Application and Implementation Directive 2025 ("NDPA GAID").
A. Information we may collect from you
1) Information you give us about you (Submitted information)
This may include information:
- Provided by filling in forms in the App or on the App Site or Service Sites
- Provided by corresponding with us (for example, by e-mail or chat)
- Provided by registering to use the App Site, downloading or registering the App, subscribing to any of our Services, promotion or survey, and reporting a problem with the App, our Services, our App Site or any of Our Service Sites
This information may include your name, gender, occupation, Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identification Number (NIN), address, e-mail address and phone number, password and other registration information, personal description and photograph ("Personal Data").
2) Information we collect about you and your device
When you send email or other communications to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
Each time you visit one of our Sites or use one of our Apps, we may automatically collect the following information:
- Technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, your Device's operating system, the type of browser you use
- Details of your use of any of our Apps or your visits to any of Our Service Sites; including, but not limited to, traffic data, weblogs and other communication data (Log Information)
3) Information we receive from other sources (Third Party Information)
Due to the nature of the Services which we provide, we are required to work with a number of third parties (including but not limited to identification verification companies and payment service providers) and we may retrieve, receive and/or verify information about you from them.
B. How we use your information
We use your personal data to operate, provide, develop and improve the products and services that we offer, including the following:
- Registering you as a new customer.
- Processing and delivering your orders.
- Managing your relationship with us.
- Enabling you to participate in promotions, competitions and surveys.
- Improving our website, applications, products and services.
- Recommending/advertising products or services which may be of interest to you.
- Enabling you to access certain products and services offered by our partners and vendors.
- Complying with our legal obligations, including verifying your identity where necessary.
- Detect fraud.
C. Legal basis for processing your data
You hereby consent to the processing of your data by us. We shall obtain your consent for individual matters, where any document deals with different matters.
We will only process your data where we have a legal basis to do so. The legal basis will depend on the purposes for which we have collected and used your data. In almost every case, the legal basis will be one of the following:
- Consent: For example, where you have provided your consent to receive certain marketing from us. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Our legitimate business interests: Where it is necessary for us to understand our customers, promote our services and operate effectively.
- Performance of a contract with you: For example, where you have purchased a product from us, and we need to use your contact details and payment information.
- Compliance with law: Where we are subject to a legal obligation and need to use your personal data to comply with that obligation.
D. How we share your data
We may need to share your personal data with third parties for the following purposes:
- Sale of products and services: In order to deliver products and services purchased on our marketplace from third parties.

- Your Personal Data is necessary in connection with the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice.
- The duration of any applicable limitation period (i.e., any period during which a person could bring a legal claim against us).
We will actively review the personal data we hold and delete it securely, or in some cases anonymize it, when there is no longer any legal, business, or consumer need for it to be retained.
F. Data security
We have put in place reasonable security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.
In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you where we are legally required to do so.
G. Your rights
- It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes.
- Under certain circumstances, you have rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to access, correct or erase your personal data.
- Where you wish to permanently delete your data from our applications or website, you may send a request to compliance@ordermee.ng or contact our customer service teams.
- We can refuse to accede to your request where it is unreasonable or where you have failed to provide additional information necessary to confirm your identity.
- You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection regulator, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
H. Third-party links
Our Service Sites may contain links to other websites owned and operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these websites, thus, if you decide to access these linked third party websites and/or make use of the information contained on them, you do so entirely at your own risk.

Any changes we may make to this Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you. By continuing to use the App or any Services after the posting of any changes, you confirm your continuing acceptance of this Policy.
